The Aberdeen City Region is a global leader in research, development and innovation. Digital tech is a key growth sector in the North East and has one of Europe's largest EnergyTech communities with strengths in ClimateTech, AgriTech and FinTech.
The regional ambition is to catalyse and grow a vibrant digital economy embedded in the north east of Scotland and to establish the region as a global hub for the industrial digital economy with a high-growth company cluster.
With over 200 existing digital tech companies in the region the goal is to grow 10 to 20 companies based in the north east of Scotland to a turnover of £20 million per annum operating on an international basis.
Based in Aberdeen's City Centre, ONE Tech Hub is the anchor point for the digital tech community in the North East of Scotland. Opportunity North East (ONE) has led the development of ONE Tech Hub, a unique ecosystem that brings together leading entrepreneurial education, digital tech business incubation and support with a wide range of sector experts, mentors and investors to create a community focused on growing and diversifying the region's digital tech sector.
